A bonus post in which, like Stravinsky’s Ballerina, I blow my own trumpet.
Having foolishly ventured into the realm of the pre-concert talk preview [how pre can you get?] for distribution via the interwebs, the latest offering is a 13-minute podcast/audio feature based on my talks for this week’s concerts.
It’s called Pianos and Puppets – a brief exploration of two piano concertos in disguise, both of which appear in the concert. You can find it here.
Actually, calling it a preview is a bit misleading, since between now and Thursday afternoon the actual talk could well take an entirely different tack, in which case it will be more like “from the cutting room floor”.
[I will now try to find post titles that begin with letters other than P. I will also try in the future to avoid making audio features that require me to say “pianos”, “puppets” or “Petrushka” many times over – avoiding the popping is a killer!]
